Faculty Leaps in World Ranking

The Faculty of Business is ranked 66th in the world in the latest UTD Top 100 Worldwide Business School Rankings based on research contributions in the 2004-2008 period. This rise is from the 78th position in the period 2003-2007 and 91st in the 2002-2006 period. Professor Judy Tsui, the Dean of the Faculty of Business announced this on 14 February 2009.

During the latest review period, members of the Faculty published 33 articles and achieved a score of 21, placing us in the 3rd place in Asia as compared to the 5th in the previous period.

The UTD ranking is a ranking exercise that has been conducted by the University of Texas at Dallas in the USA since 1990. The ranking is based on the number of research publications by academic staff in 24 leading journals, representing the top three to four in every business discipline. The UTD ranking effectively ranks the best business schools in the world in terms of their research contributions to business education and practice.
