Our business includes developing all-round students with a global outlook and who will be able to meet the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow through the provision of quality education programmes; providing life-long learning opportunities for mature learners; undertaking the development and transfer of knowledge and technology through applied research and consultancy; and serving the community through involvement in professional service. We will focus programme delivery predominantly in the HKSAR but progressively extend our services to the Chinese mainland and the region. We will continue to maintain at least 65% of our UGC-funded programmes at degree and postgraduate levels and will significantly increase the number of students on our taught postgraduate programmes, mainly through self-financed ones, and on our research degree programmes. We will also collaborate and develop strategic partnerships with industry, business, the professions, other higher education institutions and the community.
