Creative designs by students of the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) brought six awards in the 18th Hong Kong Footwear Design Competition co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Federation of Hong Kong Footwear Ltd.

Inspired by bees and beehives and hoping to raise awareness on the environment and bee conservation through her designs, Tina Au Ka-sin won the Individual Overall Championship and Ladies’ Fashion Shoes Collection Gold Award with her creation “Bee-Busy Exist Earth”. Her two other designs “Eternal Light” and “Deerland” clinched the DIY-3D Modeling Concept Design Gold Award and Children’s Shoes Bronze Award respectively.

Another student Jenny Cheung Weng got the DIY-3D Modeling Concept Design Silver Award and Ladies’ Boots Bronze Award with her designs named “Sirens” and “Memory”.
