On 3 October, PolyU’s Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and General Education Centre jointly organised a symposium to explore the vision and challenges of primary health care (PHC) implementation, resource planning and the roles of health care and welfare professionals. Over a hundred scholars, government officials and professionals from health care and welfare sectors attended the symposium.

In his welcoming speech, President Prof. Timothy W. Tong said it is pivotal to promote PHC for attaining “health for all” in order to address the challenges brought by an ageing population. To attain this goal, inter-disciplinary multi-sector collaboration of various professions and organisations is crucial. Details>>
