Congratulations to two PolyU scholars who have been honoured with the prestigious Research Grants Council (RGC) awards!
Dr Zhou Zhi of the Department of Applied Mathematics received the RGC Early Career Award and his project was rated excellent among the 153 projects funded by the RGC Early Career Scheme in 2018/19.
In addition, Prof. Sylvia Chen Xiao-hua of the Department of Applied Social Sciences was awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship with funding of over HK$750,000. The Fellowship Scheme aims at granting extended time-off and funds to outstanding investigators in these disciplines, enabling them to focus on their research work.
