New hope for Cantonese speaking amusia sufferers

Dr Zhang Cai-cai at the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies has found that Cantonese speakers who suffer from congenital amusia have abnormal brain activities that affect both music and language tone processing.

A research team at the Institute of Textiles and Clothing has created the world’s first eco-friendly and cost-effective fibre blend that minimises pollution and energy consumption while offering a range of applications in settings ranging from upholstery and clothing to medical textiles.
