Tong paid visits to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Nazarbayev University and Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools to enhance academic and cultural exchange with universities and schools in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, in support of the Nation's Belt and Road Initiative.

Various departments of PolyU have organised a wide array of activities for secondary school students to enrich their learning experience during the summer. Among them was the mathematics and science competition to challenge and inspire the youngsters.
