Prof. Yan Jun-qi, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Director of China Institute of Education Policy, was earlier conferred Honorary Degree of Doctor of Social Sciences in absentia at PolyU’s 20th Congregation. Recently, she received the Honorary Doctorate Parchment from Council Chairman Ms Marjorie Yang Mun-tak and President Prof. Timothy W. Tong in Beijing.
Prof. Yan is an expert in the areas of Computer Integrated Manufacturing System and virtual manufacturing theory and technology research and has been dedicated to advancing technological development in the Chinese mainland.
