Established by PolyU and the University of Technology, Sydney, the International Research Centre for Communication in Healthcare (IRCCH) has launched its Asia-Pacific Healthcare Hub of Charter for Compassion on 29 June.

Collaborating the effort of 1,300 partners from nearly 50 countries to promote compassionate healthcare education, the Charter provides the foundation for IRCCH’s research, education and practice initiatives. It also aims to restore the five categories of fundamental human values in healthcare - compassion, respect for persons, commitment to integrity and ethical practice, commitment to excellence and justice in healthcare. Through this hub, the Charter will support further research and training in the field of healthcare communication in the near future.
