This year's Work Integrated Education (WIE) activities were kicked off on 20 May. The event saw over 400 PolyU students gathered to inaugurate their WIE internship in Chinese mainland and overseas during the summer of 2015. Themed “Roadmap to your future success”, this year's WIE will provide students with a fruitful experience and journey.
In the pre-departure training, students met their team leaders and members (in groups according to their visiting regions - Beijing, Hangzhou, Huzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Xi’an in Chinese mainland and overseas) and were briefed on appropriate working etiquette, cultural adaptation, job assignments and related logistic issues. To demonstrate the “play hard, work hard”spirit, students participated in team-building games and got to know their teammates better.
