Earlier on, 10 PolyU students studying in construction, business, computing, design, engineering, land surveying and rehabilitation sciences disciplines joined their counterparts to visit Israel, the “Start-up Nation”, under the Techcracker Lab Programme sponsored by Li Ka Shing Foundation. The delegation experienced the country’s innovative dynamics and entrepreneurs’ courage to venture.

During the 4-day trip, students learnt from the innovation experience of Avi Hasson, Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Economy of Israel, and visited the Unesco World Heritage site Masada. They also experienced state-of-the-art technologies in successful start-up companies, including image-recognition company Cortica and circumvention software company Hola.
