The advanced Automobile Parking Navigation System jointly developed by Dr W.H. Ip at PolyU’s Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Sino Parking Services Limited has recently reaped harvest of awards. They include Silver Awards on Implementation Excellence and Application Innovation at the Hong Kong Internet of Things Awards by GSI Hong Kong, and Big Data Analysis Awards 2014 on Variety by China and Hong Kong Enterprise Market Development Association.

Under this system, drivers can read their own current location, search the car-parks nearby, and then choose a preferred car-park via parking navigation. Drivers can also record the parked location to save time in finding their cars.
