In the U.S. News and World Report 2015, PolyU is ranked first in Hong Kong and 9th in the world in engineering research disciplines. The ranking was based on the University's academic research performance in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and civil engineering, including publications, citations and indicators of global and regional reputation among the top 100 global universities.
