This October, the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation (J.C.DISI) of PolyU organized the "10-Day" Social Innovation Festival again. Themed "Social innovation – Be a practical dreamer", the Festival featured over 70 activities such as creative exhibitions, inspiring lectures, interactive workshops and documentary film shows held in 10 consecutive days. Through collective innovation together with designers, industrial leaders, academics and professionals, participants were encouraged to create positive change to society on new perspectives. Among the creative exhibits showcased at the Festival was the "Green Deck as an innovative social project" featuring a PolyU-initiated solution to tackle air quality and connectivity problems in the Cross Harbour Tunnel vicinity. In the exhibition, the related research conducted by the University was presented to the public in the form of videos and prototypes.
