PolyU's Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS) was bestowed with the "Best Educational Course Provider Award" at the 28th Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA), in recognition of its performance in designing course curriculum that closely matches real-world requirements, practicability of its curriculum, private sector partnership in its programmes and employment rate of its graduates.

Organized by the leading transport and logistics magazine Cargonews Asia, the AFSCA awards are established to honour organizations in demonstrating outstanding leadership and consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability. At the award presentation ceremony, Dr Daniel Ng Chi-to, Associate Head of LMS, received the prestigious award on behalf of the University.
