PolyU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dongguan Municipal Government on 12 November. Both parties will set up a working group and conduct feasibility study relating to the areas of education, research and training, and prepare for the establishment of a collaborative institution based in Dongguan.

The MoU was signed by PolyU President Prof. Timothy W. Tong and Dongguan Mayor Mr Li Yuchuan at the Dongguan City Main Administrative Centre.

Prof. Tong said that the implementation of the State Council’s Development and Reform Outline for the Pearl River Delta Region provides an excellent opportunity for further collaboration between PolyU and Dongguan. He said the collaborative institution in concept would focus on senior executive training at the initial stage. PolyU will also expedite technology transfer for enterprises in Dongguan and introduce its innovations and cutting-edge technology to the city. Details >>
