A service-learning project, “A mobile computer centre: A lab in suitcase on a Tuktuk”, involving some 30 students and staff from different disciplines won the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2014: Best Digital Inclusion (Service Stream) Silver Award for its significant contribution to promoting digital inclusion.

This mobile computer lab is an eLearning platform beyond geographic boundaries. It contains a server with eLearning resources, batteries and mobile devices. The fully-charged batteries supply five to six hours of power to the server and wireless router for teaching in remote areas. The lab in a suitcase is installed in a donated motorized trishaw for adding mobility to this portable educational device.
