PolyU scholar named Croucher Senior Research Fellow

PolyU scholar awarded "2012 China’s Top Ten Social Workers"

 

 

Dr Michael Kwong Fuk-yee, Associate Professor of Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology at PolyU, was conferred the prestigious Croucher Senior Research Fellowship 2013/14 by the Croucher Foundation for his distinguished scientific research achievements. Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government, in the capacity of the officiating guest, presented the award to him at the ceremony held on 21 March. 

Dr Kwong is a pioneering scientist in the field of new catalyst design and development, and his research is about the development of ‘Tamiflu’ drug derivatives using concise and modular synthetic approaches to produce inexpensive drugs for the mutual benefit of pharmaceutical community and society at large.  Details>>
