PolyU’s Department of Rehabilitation Sciences has initiated a project to help people with Parkinson’s disease to prevent falls by doing exercise. It also aims to increase patients’ ability and confidence, thus enhancing their quality of life. The project has successfully secured funding of HK$200,000 from the "Love Ideas ♥ HK" programme. "Love Ideas ♥ HK" is the first programme of “Love HK Your Way!”, a public philanthropic campaign initiated by the Li Ka Shing Foundation to engage Hong Kong citizens in a united effort to improve our community.
