香港理工大學一九九四年推出「傑出中國訪問學人計劃」，至今邀請了近百位著名學者來校訪問，除了促進學人相互交流，更加強了理大與內地學術科研單位的聯繫。
今年，我們很榮幸邀得六位來自不同領域的傑出學者參加計劃。他們分別是電力系統專家王錫凡院士、有機化學家林國強院士、拓撲學家姜伯駒院士、文史學者袁行霈教授、大地測量學家劉經南院士及工程力學與計算力學專家鍾萬勰院士。
六位學人訪問期間將主持公開講座及研討會，並與理大師生分享學術科研心得和經驗。各位學人卓越的科研成就及樂於回饋社會的精神，將為我校師生帶來啟發，我謹代表香港理工大學向他們致以衷心的謝意。
我深信在各方的鼎力支持下，本年度的「傑出中國訪問學人計劃」定必一如以往，取得輝煌的成績。

Since the inception of the “Distinguished Chinese Visiting
Scholars Scheme” in 1994, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
(PolyU) has invited about a hundred renowned Chinese scholars
to take part in this annual event. Besides fostering exchange
among the distinguished scholars, the Scheme also plays
a pivotal role in enhancing inter-institutional collaboration.
This year we are honoured that six distinguished scholars
from different fields have accepted our invitation to
participate in the Scheme. They are: Prof. Wang Xifan,
Prof. Lin Guoqiang, Prof. Jiang Boju, Prof. Yuan Xingpei,
Prof. Liu Jingnan and Prof. Zhong Wanxie.
During their visit to PolyU, the scholars will share
their valuable knowledge and inspiring experience with
our staff and students through public lectures and seminars.
On behalf of PolyU, I would like to express our sincere
gratitude to these distinguished scholars for their support
of the Scheme.
With continued support from all parties involved, I am
confident that this year's “Distinguished Chinese Visiting
Scholars Scheme” will be as fruitful and successful as
in previous years.
