To enrich student's life experience, PolyU jointly organizes Student Exchange Programme (Chinese mainland / Taiwan) with a number of institutions on the Chinese mainland / Taiwan. We believe exposure of this kind is significant in student's all-round development.

All PolyU non-final year full-time undergraduate students are welcome to apply for our Outbound Exchange. Successful applicants will study in a mainland / Taiwan university for a semester (either semester one or two of the year).

Through the programme, students are expected to: Learn about the Chinese culture Understand better their own values and beliefs Become more independent, mature and confident Improve their Chinese proficiency, particularly Putonghua skills Make friends with people from different backgrounds Develop a global dimension

Selection Criteria for the Exchange Programme:

• full-time PolyU undergraduate student
• good academic results
• fluent English or Putonghua (meeting the minimum requirements of the host institution)
• independent, outgoing, flexible and sociable personality
• active participation in extra-curricular activities
• satisfactory interview performance
