Stepping into the seventh wonderful year of Chengde, we are all enjoying the fruitful and tremendous time living in Chengde. With the support from our warden, Prof. Edwin Chan, tutors, hall association members, all Chengde hall mates are guaranteed the most unforgettable hall lives in Chengde!
Logo Idea
The design looks like the Chinese word "成". It contains an abbreviation of our hall's name "Chengde" (CD). The word "成" is consisted of the mixture of Chinese and English which shows the close relationship between local and non-local students in Chengde. It also contains the element of Chinese calligraphy which implies the elevated moral. It is consistent with the motto of Chengde "to achieve moral excellence". The contrasting colors - warm (Yellow) and cool (Blue) colors represent both active and gentle characteristics of hallmates.
