Career Development Services Section (CDS) of Student Affairs Office offers comprehensive career and placement services to students and graduates of PolyU -

  • CareerNet for Career Information

    We manage a website which provides information related to students' career development and job search. It offers comprehensive on-line platform (will be available soon) of occupational knowledge which provides students with industry and employer-specific information, recruitment outlooks and guides to help students fare key employers' selection processes.

  • Mainland Internship Programme

    Through Mainland Internship Programme, students will get the chance to join summer internships in the Chinese mainland by taking on responsible roles working in organizations and through observation and reflecting on their experiences.

  • Work-Integrated Education (WIE)

    CDS provides central coordination and support in the administration of WIE. Local internship opportunities coming through SAO will be posted in a dedicated job portal, the Internship Application System (IAS), important information about WIE will be communicated to students and made available online for easy access, and WIE certificates will be issued to students upon graduation to show details of WIE fulfillment.

  • Career Education and Training

    We provide a range of career preparation programmes, pre-internship training and job search skills workshops to cater for students' different needs and to help strengthen their employability .

  • Career Guidance and Advice

    We provides coaching and career guidance service to help answer students' questions related to job search or future career development. We also offer support through resume and interview clinics to better prepare students for employers' screening and selection process.

  • Graduate Employment Opportunities

    We actively seek out employment opportunities for our graduating class. Major employers usually host recruitment talks or job fairs on campus during September-November in Semester 1 and January-April in Semester 2 to recruit final year students. Students can also find latest graduate job opportunities in JIJIS and our own PolyU job portal.
