Important Notice (15th November 2005):
We are pleased that the Assessment Conference has attracted over 400 local and international academics and was successfully completed on 15th June 2005. We have received very positive feedback on all its aspects, particularly the paper presentations, the professionalism and helpfulness of the student ambassadors, and the overall organisation. You will be interested to look at the video clippings of the Keynote Presentations and Website Launch of the Assessment Resource Centre (ARC).
Our conference abstracts could be found in the Assessment Practice Contributions of our ARC which is a website for sharing views and practices on assessment. In addition, we are now seeking contributions of article of good practice in assessment from frontline teachers, educationalists, researchers, and school administrators such as yourselves. We sincerely hope that the wide range of materials contributed from all of you will help to advance the use of assessment.
Special Note to Full Paper Contributors:
Thank you very much for submitting your full papers. We are pleased to let you know that we have received responses from most of you. Please note that the submitted papers are under review by the Review Panel and papers with high degree of originality and evidence of significant impact on and applications in assessment are to be selected for inclusion in the Conference Publication.
Since the number of full papers is much more than what we have expected, it will take a bit longer time for the review process to complete. Preliminarily, we estimate that the review process is to be completed around February 2006 and we will notify the submittors of their papers' review results by email.
Once again, thanks to all those who have submitted the full papers. Your participation is very much appreciated.
