We
are pleased that the Assessment Conference has attracted over 400 local and
international academics and was successfully completed on
This
three-day conference featured a diversity of perspectives: that of frontline
teachers, educationalists, researchers, and school administrators.
Over 150 presentations
which were accepted after reviewing 300 proposals, were available for the
choice of all participants. These were in the form of paper presentations,
roundtable discussions, and poster displays. It is delighted that we have received very
positive
feedback
on all its aspects, particularly the paper presentations, the professionalism
and helpfulness of the student ambassadors, and the overall organisation. If you miss the chance to attend this event, you
will be interested to look at the
video
clippings of the Keynote Presentations and Website Launch of the
Assessment Resource Centre
(ARC).
Furthermore,
it is encouraging that after the conference, we received 91 full papers and
more than 40 papers have been accepted for inclusion in our Conference
Publication after review. We believe
that the publication would be good sharing of educational experience for everyone.
On
behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, I would like to extend our deep
gratitude to all those who have submitted their proposals and, to all
conference delegates for their participation in this event. We hope this gathering of people, ideas, and
experience will help to advance the use of assessment in educational settings Mr. Steve Frankland | ||||||
