Guidelines for Presentation

Structure of Paper Sessions

Papers will be organised according to themes. (see Call for Papers)

The total time for each session is 90 minutes and will include three paper presentations. Each presenter will have a maximum of 20 minutes for presenting his/her paper plus 10 minutes for discussion.

Each session will be chaired by a facilitator, who will introduce and time speakers, and lead the discussion.

Guidelines for Round-table Discussions

For round-table discussions, the total time for each session is 90 minutes and will include four to six presenters according to their presentation themes. This consists of mini-presentations of about 10 minutes each, and followed by discussion. There will be facilitator, presenters and audiences at each table. The facilitator will lead the discussion.

Please bring a talking paper for audiences. Presenters are also invited to make copies of the paper available for audiences.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations

Available space for each poster is 0.75 x 2.0 m. Please make the font easily readable from the viewing distance – point 25 or more is recommended.

Posters will be placed on different poster sessions on all three days of the conference in the exhibition area. It is recommended that presenters attend their designated poster session to discuss their work. Please click here for the picture of poster display board.

Presenters need to put up their posters accordingly to the posting schedule. The Conference Organising Committee will notify the presenters of the posting schedule in May 2005 when the program details are finalized.

Presentation Room and Equipment

Computer, overhead projector and laser pointer will be available in each room. Internet connection is available in some of the rooms. Presentors who need internet connection during their presentations have to notify the organiser by 28th February 2005. The computer system supports Microsoft Office XP or older version (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
