The Conference Organising Committee invites scholarly papers from
academics and teaching professionals for presentation at our First
International Conference, in Hong Kong, the Special Administrative
Region of the People's Republic of China.
The conference title is "Enhancing
Teaching and Learning through Assessment".
Papers relating to the following themes are invited:
- Assessment in the Workplace
- Authentic Assessment
- Outcome-based Assessment
- IT in Assessment
- Peer- and Self-assessment
- Formative and Summative Assessment
- Criterion- and Norm-referenced Assessment
- Multiple Assessment Methods
- Stakeholders' Perceptions of Assessment
- Impact of Assessment on Teaching and Learning
- Quality Assessment and Implementation Issues
- Assessment to Enhance Life-long Learning
Paper falling outside these themes will also be considered.
Paper presentations and round-table discussions will be arranged
at the conference. In addition, papers will also be selected for
inclusion in a poster session.
Submission should not exceed 750 words and should contain the following information:
paper title, abstract, author(s) and their institution(s), and
contact information (including e-mail address) for the main author.
A panel of referees will review abstracts, and authors of selected
abstracts will be invited to present their papers at the conference.
Authors of selected abstracts will also be invited to submit full papers to
the organiser two months after the conference to be considered
for a conference publication.
