Welcome to ARC

Assessment is an integral part of institutional education where the alignment between teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment is essential. Through gauging student learning outcomes, it provides informative support for the readjustment of teaching plans.

As a teacher you will be aware that assessment affects the quality of student learning. Given an effective design and appropriate implementation, assessment provides an effective vehicle for deep learning.

Accordingly, the UGC-funded teaching development project Enhancing Teaching and Learning through Assessment is aimed to enhance assessment in higher education. The Assessment Resource Centre (ARC) is one of the project's initiatives.

 

 

The ARC provides on-going support for the improvement of assessment practices. It provides both print-based and on-line support to higher education institutions and to facilitate sharing amongst teachers both in Hong Kong and worldwide.

We address a wide range of current issues related to assessment and commit to our core values through explore, identify, develop, facilitate, and support.
