>> Official Opening
The Assessment Resource Centre (ARC) website was launched during the opening ceremony of the First International Conference on Enhancing Teaching and Learning through Assessment on 13th June, 2005.
In
the morning, around 400 conference participants
from all over the world, gathered
together at the Jockey Club Auditorium on the campus
of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and witnessed
our official opening.

Prof. T. P. Leung, the Vice
President (Student Development) and the Chair of the
Learning and Teaching Committee of The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University, and Mr. Steve Frankland, the Project Leader
opened the ARC and presented some important concepts
and thinking of modern assessment theory and practice.
This website will provide teachers with additional
resources on how assessment can improve teaching and
learning.
The
centre is now being developed and eventually, a multitude
of information on assessment will be made available
and contributions from front-line teachers are welcomed,
noted by Mr. Frankland in his opening address.
