The Principal Supervisor is an Engineering teacher who has more than 25 years experience in teaching and has been actively involved in many projects at all levels in higher education. Together with several co-supervisors, we are conducting various research projects on assessment development within our departments and subject areas.

In the past few years, we gained an insight from the world of educational development. We attended conferences, participated in running our own workshops and offered input to other colleagues. The outcome of our studies disseminated here in the ARC may not perfectly serve as exemplars for others, but they are what we did in our own teaching.

In addition, collaboration and contribution from other institutions are to be sought in the development of the Assessment Resource Centre so that experiences and good practices from other university teachers can enrich and substantiate the support available to teachers and students.

We sincerely hope that the ARC will become an accessible gateway and a jargon-free platform for you to inquire about assessment.
