Joint Workshop
on
Recent Development in Statisitcs & Biostatistics

Department of Applied Mathematics,
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
18-19 December, 2012

Objective

Statistics and Biostatistics involve many challenging problems in health science, biomedi- cal science, genetic and genomic research, applied mathematics and scienti c computation. This workshop brings together leading experts to present and discuss recent developments in these areas, to enhance collaboration among applied mathematicians, statisticians, biostatis- ticians, and researchers in health and biomedical sciences, and to provide an opportunity for young researchers to learn the current state of the art in these important directions.
