新设奖通告:JCM Best Paper Prize

Guideline

The JCM Best Paper Prize will be established by the Journal of Computational
Mathematics (JCM) in 2008. The prize is awarded to the author(s) of the most
outstanding paper, as determined by the prize committee, published in JCM in
the two calendar years before the year of the award.

Prize Committee

The prize committee will consist of five members nominated by the editor-in-chief
and managing editors. The prize committee will solicit nominations for
the prize from editors of JCM and from other members of the scientific community.
Members of the prize committee are not eligible for an award.

Prize Award Date

The prizes are awarded every other year.

Description of the Award

The amount of the award will be $1000 to the authors of each winning paper, and
additional funds may be available as a contribution to expenses in coming to the
award presentation (usually takes place at an international conference).

第八届全国计算数学年会将于2007年10月25-29日在成都召开。会议由中国计算数学学会主办,
四川大学承办。会议将邀请石钟慈院士、林群院士、崔俊芝院士以及国内外高校、科研院所多
位著名专家学者作大会报告,并将颁发“冯
康科学计算奖”和“计算数学优秀青年论文奖”。

报到事宜:报到地点:四川大学红瓦宾馆大厅(川大望江校区东大门旁)
报到时间:10月24日上午9:00至晚上10:00

会议日程: 10月25至29日。会议期间将组织参观金沙遗址。

交通信息:
(1)成都双流机场到四川大学红瓦宾馆乘车路线:
乘坐出租车,45元左右;或乘坐机场大巴至人民南路与一环路交叉口,再转乘出租车,

The workshop is one of a series of workshops organized by
Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research(BICMR)

湛江师范学院位于气候宜人、环境优美的南国海滨。该校于1991年12月经国家教委批准,
由原雷州师范专科学校升格为本科院校,1996年取得学士学位授予权,2000年通过教育部组织
的本科教学工作合格评估。

数学与计算科学学院是湛江师范学院在原数学系的基础上组建的二级学院。学院下设数学系、
计算科学系等两个教学系,设有数学与应用数学(师范类)、信息与计算科学等两个专业;
现有全日制本科生600多人,各类成教生800多人。

学院拥有一支精干的教师队伍,现有专任教师23人,其中教授4人,副教授12人;在20位年龄
不超过45岁的中青年教师中有博士和硕士14人。长期以来,学院教师认真完成教学任务,努力
提高教学水平,积极开展教学研究,不断深化教学改革。取得了显著的成果;先后多人获曾宪
梓教育基金奖、南粤优秀教师、广东省劳动模范、全国优秀教师、全国“五?一”劳动奖章和
全国先进工作者等荣誉称号。

多年来,学院在基础数学学科的建设方面取得了可喜的成绩,近5年来,我院教师主持完成了
5项国家自然科学基金项目和多项省厅级科研项目;发表学术论文200多篇,其中有30篇论文
发表在《J.Reine Angew. Math.》、《Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.》、《Bull. London Math.
Math. Soc.》、《Acta Arith.》、《J. Number Theory》等国际一流数学刊物和数论专业
顶尖刊物以及《数学学报》、《数学进展》等国内重要数学刊物,已有40多篇论文被SCI
和ISTP收录;1项研究成果获得广东省科学技术奖二等奖。

近年来,学院遵照“发展是主题,学术是根本,质量是生命,特色品牌”的办学理念,以培养
符合社会需要的合格人才为办学目标,各项事业蒸蒸日上。同时,随着人事分配制度改革的逐
步深入,广大教师,特别是教学、科研骨干教师的工作条件和生活待遇稳步提高。在此,我们
