Updates on Phasing Out of Novell Services

The University has originally planned to phase out the existing Novell services including iFolder, iPrint, File Services, GroupWise Messaging Service and Document Management System (DMS) by the end of 2013. As the migration of some departmental Novell systems has not been completed, the current Novell site licences have been extended for one year to ensure a smooth transition.


Someone Just Sent Me an eCard - But Wait, Who is the Sender?

At this festive season, be very careful with greeting card scam which, though not new to the Internet, still seems to be an effective channel for security attacks. Some greeting card scams will ask you to visit an external web site for viewing the card while some may come in the form of an email attachment with malicious codes or viruses embedded. Check out some handy tips against greeting card scams.
