Walks for Millions 2002

Led by the University President, Prof. Poon Chung-kwong, Vice Presidents Prof. Leung Tin-pui and Dr Lui Sun-wing, a team of 800 PolyU members, comprising staff, students, alumni and their families, participated in this year's Community Chest "Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk" on 6 January, 2002.

This year, alumni associations have again showed tremendous support to this worthwhile charitable event, bringing this year's number of graduate participants to almost 250.

Over the past nine years, more than 6,500 PolyU members participated in the Walks for Millions and raised more than $2 million for the Chest. Last year, the PolyU team won the Outstanding Walking Team Award in the Hong Kong Walk with its donation of more than $180,000.
