Reunion Dinner for Graduates of 1984-1994

More
than 300 alumni who graduated from the former Hong Kong Polytechnic before
1994
were invited to the reunion dinner held at the Student Halls of Residence on
19 June 2004 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their graduation. Jointly
organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Federation of The
Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Associations (Federation), the
dinner gathering was a great success.
Senior
alumni who graduated at the former Government Trade School and the Hong Kong
Technical College also attended this meaningful event. Graduates of 1939,
including Mr Ng Wing Hong, Mr Yau Hon-Kwong and Mr Cheung Tzang-wai, were
invited to join PolyUˇ¦s senior management and the
Federation Officers to toast the participants on the stage.
During
the dinner, each graduate was presented the silver badge as a souvenir. To
add fun to the dinner, two games have been arranged for the
participants. Meanwhile, drum performances by Essential African Drum Group
have been staged at the dinner and received enthusiastic feedback from
participants.
With the great support from the Federation, various alumni associations and
supporters of PolyU, more than 200 pcs of gifts/ prizes, with a total value
of more than HK$60,000, were presented to the participants.
The
coming alumni reunion dinner will be held in December 2004 for
the graduates of 1979 or before to celebrate 25 years of their graduation.
Details of the dinner will be announced later.
