More than 300 graduates of the former Hong Kong Polytechnic, who have graduated from the Institution for more than a decade, gathered at a reunion dinner gathering on 8 June 2001 at Sheraton Hotel at Tsimshatsui to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their graduation.

The gathering is jointly organized by the University and the Federation of PolyU Alumni Associations. During the dinner, graduates were invited on the stage to receive 'Commemorative Medals" which signify the University's appreciation for their accomplishments and serve as memorabilia of their close link with the Institution. Besides, each graduate also received a specially designed "Anniversary Pin" as souvenir.
