(Higher Diploma in Structural Engineering, Hong Kong Technical College, 1966) A prominent and experienced engineer, Ir Lo has contributed significantly to the public works and infrastructure development in Hong Kong. He is currently Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works (Works) of the Government and has rendered his service in the field for over 30 years. In 1990, Ir Lo, as a chief engineer, led a team of engineers to urgently implement the West Kowloon Reclamation Project on time. In 1999, he helped to instigate the commencement of the Disney Theme Park Project. Outside work, Ir Lo is active in public services. He is Chairman of PolyU¡¦s Advisory Committee of the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering; Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Member of the China Civil Engineering Society. |

1976) Mr Ng, Founder and Chairman of SAE Magnetics (HK) Limited, successfully transformed SAE from a manufacturer of recording heads for floppy disk to now the world¡¦s largest independent manufacturer of magnetic recording heads for hard disk drives. Taking up about 30 per cent of world market share, SAE reports revenue of more than USD 1 billion. In 1986, under the leadership of Mr Ng, SAE merged with the TDK Corporation in Japan, marking history in the industry. Currently Mr Ng is the founder and Chairman of the Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association, Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the Asia Pacific Academy for Productivity and Innovation. |

Ir Tse is Managing Director of Parsons Brinckerhoff Asia Limited ¡V a leading building services engineering consultant in Hong Kong. Having served the industry for 27 years, Ir Tse¡¦s profound experience has been well proven by his many major projects including the HKD12 billion worth Macau Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, Singapore Suntec City and International Convention Centre and the Olympic City development project in Hong Kong. Ir Tse is now Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Building Services Engineering Department of PolyU. His illustrious career and contributions to the building profession have won him many honours. |

(Bachelor of Arts in Design [Industrial Design], Hong Kong Polytechnic, 1987) Mr Yip, Founder and Director of Yip Design Ltd, is an international product designer. Over the years, Mr Yip has designed more than a thousand products and received more than 20 international design registrations and patents. One of his most famous works is the FlexiCal design which enables a calculator to be rolled up. This innovative design has brought him many local and overseas acclaims and is now on permanent display in the British Design Museum in London. Mr Yip was an honoree of the Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons 2004 and is now Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong Designers Association and Visiting Lecturer of the School of Design of PolyU. ¡@ |
