Eligibility and rules
The "Best of the Best Elevator Pitch Award" competition is an online component of the GSC 2013 open to ALL 60 shortlisted teams from both Secondary School and University division.
What should teams do?
You should discuss with your team-mates and decide on how best you could present yourself in a maximum of 60 seconds. You should then record the pitch using your cellphone, camera or video recorder of any sort. Remember, this is supposed to be an “Elevator Pitch” and hence no special effects will be required. Please ensure that:
- Only shortlisted teams of the concerned year are eligible to participate.
- Confined to one entry per team and each team can only submit once during the submission period.
- All entries must be submitted on or before the Submission Deadline – 30 April 2011.
Each commercial:
| 1. | Your pitch is within the time limit of 60 seconds as extra content will not be broadcasted at the Semi-Final or Final. |
| 2. | Your pitch is audible and could be clearly presented to the viewer on screen. |
| 3. | There is no mention of your institution’s name in the audio or visual of your pitch. |
| 4. | Your file MUST be saved in wmv, mov, avi format with file size no larger than 30MB. |
| 5. | The file that you upload will be the final version, as uploaded file could not be replaced. |
Is this compulsory and what happen if our team doesn’t submit our pitch by the deadline?
Please note that such submission is COMPULSORY for all shortlisted teams as judges will be expecting to preview your pitch prior to your presentation at the Semi-Final and Final (where applicable). Please note that late submission will NOT be accepted and such team will have to present without the pitch.
