Accident Investigation

The Health, Safety and Environment Office establishes accident reporting and investigation procedures as a means to manage all workplace accidents in a standardized way.  It also demonstrates the University's commitment and ongoing efforts to reduce and eliminate workplace injuries and illnesses.


Thorough accident investigations will help the University as well as the individual departments to determine why accidents occur, where they happen, and any trends that might be developing. Such identification is critical to preventing and controlling hazards and potential accidents.
