International Forum on Engineering Higher Education for the 21st Century

Held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

The International Forum on Engineering Higher Education, jointly organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Zhejiang University, was strategically positioned to analyze the current situation and trend for the training of modern engineering professionals. Discussions were focused on establishing a higher education model for the training of innovative and application-oriented engineering professionals to meet the challenges in the 21st century.

 

The Forum featured key-note presentations and invited speeches of 23 prominent international educators and government officials from various countries and regions including US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, sharing their engineering education experiences in their own area. Various topics were covered in these speeches, divided into 4 sessions spanning over the 2-day-forum at the PolyU campus.
